The future of AR
Imagine combining GPS positioning, smart-wear watches with motion sensors, tablets, mobile phones, roaming data, historic imagery, smart search facilities, specialist knowledge, voice activation, speech to text, fitness monitoring sensors, automation technology, and countless big-data resources available to us publicly, or via a private network.
Now imagine clever workflow, predictive capabilities, instant alerts, text and visual image overlays, rapid search capabilities, and live recording.
No. We are not talking about some distant future, but instead the present.
Yes! Here and Now.
Technology can already capture so much information about our lives though just tracking our smartphones usage, location, and our predictive behaviour, and with Augmented reality using super-imposed imagery only requiring a camera on a phone, tablet or wearable headset, we have the ability to take an outside image and add more and more data to it. The more useful and well presented this data, the more adopted the technology can become.
Making AR applications are easy. Making them right is where the difficulty lies. Design and development takes takes time and patience. And getting products out there takes good marketing or social awareness. So any adopted AR App need to be well thought through for them to make the grade. A good idea alone isn't enough. The user experience will make or break it, especially in this world with the instant upload to social media and information sharing sites.
At AR Apps, we have thousands of ideas, but selecting the right ones for development, and getting them right so that they are ready at the right time, is where our work is.
There's a lot of change ahead. Be part of it, or be overtaken.
